What We Love
Gated estate set on a mountain top for ultimate privacy and security with sweeping views of the central isthmus and the north and south shorelines. This vantage point is unmatched by any other on Maui. Open spaces allow Tradewinds to circulate, projecting eaves keep rain out without closing windows, and the use of clerestory windows brings outside light into the home. Every bedroom opens to the outside, views of both coastlines, Haleakala, and the West Maui mountains. The gourmet kitchen has two marble topped islands, a walk-in butler's pantry, and Ipe flooring. Views of the ocean surround the kitchen and provide a back drop for a cup of coffee with a friend or a crowd of fifty for brunch. The property embodies aloha spirit.
What to Know
Preparation of the building site took almost two years to complete as 3,700 truckloads of dirt were removed to ready the land for construction. Architect Clayton Nishikawa was influenced by the iconic work of C.W. Dickey, and this property was the winner of BIA Hawaii's 2016 Grand Award for design excellence. The orchard has the largest Koai'a tree farm on Maui and includes many other indigenous trees such as Sandalwood, Olulu, Ohia Lehua, Mamaki, and Hapu. The property is a unique combination of a convenient location and maximum privacy, in close proximity to the airport, medical services, and shopping, while situated at the top of a private driveway nestled in the West Maui mountains.
